IDPP membership is open to all persons who have academically earned a Doctorate Degree or hold Professorship status from a recognized university — Zambian or international.
Membership Categories
FIDPP
Fellow Member
For senior Doctorate holders and Professors who have served for 10 years and above. The highest tier of membership recognising distinguished long-term service.
MIDPP
Full Member
Open to all holders of earned Doctorate Degrees from recognized universities with below 5 years of qualifying experience. The core membership category of the Institute.
AM-IDPP
Associate Member
Applicable to Master's Degree holders who wish to affiliate with the Institute and benefit from its professional network, resources and knowledge-sharing platforms.
HM-IDPP
Honorary Member
Applicable to persons with Honorary Doctorate Degrees awarded by recognized universities. Membership is by invitation through the appropriate committee.
SM-IDPP
Special & Gold Member
For PhD holders and persons invited by Council to join as special members and well-wishers offering financial support to the Institute's operations and programmes.
IM-IDPP
Institution Member
For academic institutions, research bodies and organisations that wish to formally affiliate with IDPP and support the Institute's mission of advancing knowledge and excellence.

Membership Registration Process
Applications are submitted through our online membership portal. Follow the steps below to complete your registration and profile review.
Member Type & Eligibility
Review criteria and select your membership category.
Account Setup
Register your account credentials on the IDPP portal.
Profile & Credentials
Complete your personal profile and record academic qualifications.
Document Verification
Attach ZAQA certificate (if non-honorary degree) and indicate first application or renewal status.
Review & Approval
Application undergoes formal review by the Membership Committee.
Fee Payment
Complete your membership payment upon approval notification.
Print Certificate
Access and print your official IDPP membership certificate.
Processing Timeframe Note:
- Application processing takes 14 days for Zambian applicants with valid ZAQA certificates.
- For foreign applicants, processing takes at least 30 days.
